Reporting directly to <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexandre-dressayre-39238a43/" class="postings-link" rel="noopener noreferrer">Alexandre Dressayre</a>, our Head of Financial Crime, and collaborating closely with our Executive Management Team and our Local Country MD, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/mariano-spalletti/" class="postings-link" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mariano</a>, you'll be key to strengthening our AML framework, removing regulatory barriers, and redefining fintech compliance in Italy. 👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As an AML/CFT Officer (Italy) you will: • Policy Enhancement: Monitor and enhance AML policies, procedures, and internal control measures for the Italian branch• Strategic Advisory: Assist the board of directors in AML-related issues, including organizational structure and resource allocation• Risk Mitigation: Evaluate issues and remediation proposals presented by the MLRO• Compliance Reporting: Ensure periodic reporting to corporate bodies on AML activities and regulatory interactions• Regulatory Remediation: Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive remediation plan to address regulatory concerns• Governance Leadership: Chair the local risk committee, preparing and debriefing high-stakes meetings• Regulatory Liaison: Represent Qonto to local authorities and drive necessary changes across the organization• Management Validation: You will participate in the validation process for high-risk clients at the Italian branch. 🤔 What you can expect: • Market/Team Context: A dynamic fintech environment facing complex regulatory challenges in the Italian market• Methodologies: Agile working practices with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement• Projects: Lead the implementation of a multi-stage plan to lift regulatory restrictions and scale our Italian operations• Tools: Work with cutting-edge AML monitoring and reporting technologies 🤝 About your future manager: • Alexandre’s background? 👩‍💻 About our team: Our Tech and Data department proudly counts more than 400 international members, including Backend and Frontend engineers, Mobile engineers, SREs, Data, IT, and Security experts. Our engineers actively participate in discussions regarding the product's direction, manage our ever-growing user base needs, and deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership.

⚙️ About our technical stack: our primary languages are Python, Golang and Ruby for Backend, EmberJS (soon React!) for Frontend, and Kotlin and Swift for our mobile apps. Our platform runs on a Kubernetes cluster hosted on AWS, with PostgreSQL as our database of choice. We're also using Kafka for our event-driven architecture and ELK for logging and auditing, among many other tools, services, and applications. Additionally, our data team harnesses a state-of-the-art modern data stack, seamlessly integrating Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, Tableau, Scikit-learn, and XgBoost.
