As our Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, you’ll report to the General Counsel and play a key role in shaping and supporting our global people strategy. You'll be Pigment’s first dedicated employment law specialist—advising the People team on a wide range of international employment law and HR issues as we scale across multiple jurisdictions.

<h4>What you'll do:</h4><ul><li>Be the go-to expert for global employment law matters, with a focus on France, the UK, the US, Canada, Germany and other countries where we plan to expand.</li><li>Draft, update, and negotiate employment agreements, consulting contracts, and employment policies, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with Pigment’s values.</li><li>Provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice on performance management, employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations, including in cross-border situations.</li><li>Partner closely with the People, Finance, and business teams to support organisational growth, cross-border hiring, mobility, and much more.</li><li>Help design and deliver training programs for HR and leadership on employment law best practices and evolving legal requirements.</li><li>Support global compliance initiatives including supporting works council management, and whistleblower frameworks, and compliance with other relevant laws.</li><li>Monitor regulatory developments in employment law and proactively address legal risks.</li><li>Manage external counsel for complex or highly sensitive employment-related issues.</li></ul> <h4>Who you are: </h4><ul><li>A qualified employment lawyer (France) with 6+ years of experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house roles within a fast-paced tech environment.</li><li>Deep expertise in French labor law and strong working knowledge of global employment law frameworks, particularly in common law jurisdictions (UK/US).</li><li>Experience supporting international HR teams, ideally in a tech, SaaS or scale-up environment.</li><li>Pragmatic, adaptable, and business-oriented—you know how to get to “yes” while protecting the business.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French; additional languages are a plus.</li><li>Able to operate autonomously with sound judgment, but collaborative and eager to partner across teams.</li><li>Enthusiastic about building world-class legal infrastructure in a growing company.</li></ul>
